This ranking is exclusively for universities founded under 50 years old, evaluated based on 5 groups of criteria. Regularly competing for the top spot with Nanyang Technological University is the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. This year, this school ranked second with 74.9 points, 1.1 points lower than the first school. In addition to this representative, Hong Kong also has two other universities in the top 10 in Asia: City University of Hong Kong (ranked 4) and Hong Kong Polytechnic University (ranked 7).


The same three schools in the top 10 in Asia are Korea. If counted in the top 10 in the world alone, this is the only country with three representatives, including Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH), National Institute of Science and Technology. and Ulsan National Technology (UNIST).


The remaining representatives come from Macau, China and Saudi Arabia with scores ranging from 55.3 to 57.3.


In this ranking, Vietnam has two representatives, including Hanoi National University (ranked 251-300 in the world) and Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City (ranked 400+).
